A mother of three young girls, Adrienne Schweer launched Family Leave Works in 2015 after experiencing a high-risk pregnancy coupled with no paid maternity leave policy. With more than a decade of experience in advocacy, she was appalled by how few advocacy organizations were focused on finding bipartisan, politically viable solutions to address the fact that so few Americans have access to paid family leave.
In 2017, Adrienne began convening companies small and large that have paid family leave policies to share data on why these policies are good for business, grow market share, and benefit families. In 2018, she became a fellow at the Bipartisan Policy Center working on paid family leave.
Adrienne has worked on the Hill, in the nonprofit space, and at the Department of Defense.
